Hansen Organic farm has been in our family since 1912.

We are the 4th generation to work this land. The old barn which still functions today was built in 1912 by my great-grandfather along with his sons and neighbors. Since the early 1980's I’ve been interested in sustainable agriculture and organic farming practices, with the hope to pursue this present path. As I began helping on the farm again about 12 years ago, I noted a significant absence of wildlife, insects and other beneficial creatures, all the result of conventional farming practices. Now, this the 6th year of organic practices, the turnaround was immediate and amazing. A truly rewarding endeavor for which we thank God, creator of the universe!
